Solid bar and pixelate styles in addition to Gaussian blur
Gaussian blur is right for most cases, but two alternatives come up a lot:- Solid bar — a flat opaque rectangle. Looks intentional, matches the visual idiom of “redacted” in legal and finance contexts.- Pixelate — compresses better in recorded video and reads clearly as “obscured” even at low bitrates.Pick one style per profile, or per element if combined with per-element intensity.
